Brad dodges a big bullet (and by that virtue, so do many others)! Chris fails to plan for braking this turn and pays (a rarity for Chris).

Turn 10 Summary
Tim C. makes some space at 160 on the straight. Tim B. falls behind with his wimpy engine at 140. Brad stays at 140 even as the speed limit drops to 80. He's obligated to roll on the chance table (naked 5) and comes out unscathed. Mike drops his speed to 120, avoiding further wear expenditure in the Spoon. With the initiative, Kal sheds 2 more wear at 140 in the Spoon on the outside 100's. He tucks in behind the #25 car. John saves wear at 100, staying on the outside lane in the Spoon. At 100, Rando takes the inside lane for a wear, racing to the inside of the #28. Cody burns a wear at 120 in the outer Spoon 100's. Chris takes the inside Spoon into the 80's for 2 wear at 120. He runs out of space and has to hit the brakes for another wear. Will opts for the outside lane in the Spoon at 120 for free. Fabio pulls up to the Spoon at 120. Todd is able to make contact with the field at 140, grabbing the bumper on the #17.

Turn 11 Summary

Mike keeps pace, also at 160. Kal stays on the bumper of the #25 at 140 plus the slip. Rando and John race out of the Spoon neck & neck at 160. Cody finishes the Spoon at 120, opting for the outside lane. Chris finishes the Spoon at 100, missing the slip opportunity on the deceptive #38. Will drops to 100 in the Spoon to finish for free. Fabio takes the outer lane in the Spoon for free at 100. At 120, Todd takes the inside Spoon for 2 wear, slipping in front of the #17.

An uneventful turn except for the double bonus earned by Fabio  .

John, also at 120, slips to the inside of the #18. Cody finishes 130R at 160 and tucks in behind the #28. Chris loses a tire in the 140's at 160 and grabs the tailpipe on the green car. Fabio gets the initiative at 160 and drops a wear in the 130R 140's. Todd takes the 140's for free at 140 and drops in on the bumper of the #17 car. At 160, Will takes the 160's for free and stays on the tail of the #84.

There may be a delay due to the holiday but if I'm able to adjudicate, it will be early in the morning.

Heh... that's funny. I crossed out Cody's car instead of his speed. Is that a sign of something ruinous ahead?

Cody gets royally screwed by the dice :sigh:

Turn 15 Summary
Tim B. tests his engine's top speed (naked 6) to hit First Curve at 160 for a wear. Tim C. keeps pace, also at 160, and sheds a wear in First Curve. Mike stays on the leaders, entering First Curve at 160. At 160 plus the bonus, Brad pulls into First Curve as well. Kal gets his speed up to 140 as he leads the chase pack. Cody plots 180 but damages his engine with a failed acceleration roll (naked 11). He re-plots to 160 and loses the initiative. John moves up next to the #3 at 160. Rando makes it three-wide, also at 160, but not before testing his engine with 2sp (modified 8). With no place to go, Cody has to hit the brakes, opting for the brake table (naked 10). The poor chap fails again, costing a wear and brake damage. He sits on the bumper of the #18. Chris grabs the tailpipe on the #3 at 160. Fabio keeps up at 160 and tucks in behind the #20. Todd finishes the Casio line at 80. Will drops speed to 100, finishes the Triangle on the outside, and pulls in behind the #84.

Rando notified me that I forgot to roll for his over-acceleration. That's been corrected - his dice roll is noted, skill adjusted, and commentary edited.

Your sportsmanship and honesty are admirable, Rando!

Yeah for me! Starting my birthday weekend with good dice ! :)
Entering 3-wide into a 2-wide corner didn't seem a good idea unless I went real fast or real slow. And real slow isn't a good option, right?

Lap 1 in the books and the speeds have come down to a 'normal' level. (Not sure if including Rando in a 'normal' group is pc, but what the heck!) Only two drivers in the top 3 in more than one sector. Five others hitting one time each. Quite a difference in driving styles?
