Isn't it only a formality playing this thing out?
Yes but the fun is in the trip not the destination.

You're in, Dave!
One Spot Left, note that I don't anticipate beginning until after next week.

I want to say yes, but it feels like a bad idea.

so....did we reach nine players? How sad, when we used to have 30 or more games running at one time!

If Reuben is playing, then we have 9. I've dropped him a note for his email address and then I'll send out a welcome/confirmation email to all who have expressed interest.

Kal,
Would you consider dropping the solo victory to 18 centers, rather than 27? Not only does 27 take a much longer time to complete, but dropping the count to 18 could make an end game between 2 contenders (rather than just 1 player against the survivors) more possible, leading to greater competition and "fun". This might also lead to some interesting alliances in the later stage of the game.
I realize that this breaks the 51% rule, but given the greater number of total centers (52), I don't think that is grossly unjust. This is, after all, Aberration, so why not have an aberrant victory total?

Well, I reckon I'll drop the proposal, based on group interest. I was thinking, if this is an aberrant version of Standard, why not have an aberrant winning situation. It also occurred to me that it could move along a "cold war" situation between two major super powers vying for control.
However, now that I've shot my bolt, we're done with it!

Well, Tom, maybe you should quit wearing that shirt with the Target logo.
