I certainly missed that Mike kept correct tally of regular season records and if Todd and Mike don't mind keeping track of three year records then there is no reason for me to be concerned about it. I don't mind using three years instead of one year.

If we are going to shuffle, my vote would be to shuffle every year. By running a 3 year average you're reducing the chance of any of the recent strong teams ending up in a division with each other, which is bad for other teams.

Three years also just seems like a long time when the divisions are semi random.

Mostly I just like the dynamics of having 3 division mates to compete with for a season. I'm not sure I'd mind much if it changes every year. I do think that grouping the top teams together would require some careful thought, but that's not on the table here.

Long story short: love divisions, don't really care how they're picked.
