Car builds are in. Kal, Mike, & Brad have identical cars. Fabio & Tim also chose the same ride.

Start bids are due on Monday, May 11th @ 12 noon EDT (4 p.m. GMT)

If you need a reminder, you bid wear (1 point) and/or skill points (1/2 point). Ties are broken with a dice roll.

I expect T1 to be due Wednesday on the regular schedule. I'm ok with getting ahead of C2 since I anticipate some delays over the summer.

Ok, so it's not season 1. I'll have to get used to the fact that we've been doing this for a whole year already.

The grid is set though it required many tie-breaks. Steve gets the pole with a whopping bid of 8 followed by Cody's 6.5. Tim & Fabio rolled for position in the 2nd row with bids of 4.5. Tim gets the inside. At bids of 4, Mike, Todd & Will rolled for row 3 (Todd then Mike) with the low roll in row 4 (Will). Chris, Brad, & Kal put in bids of 3 with Brad getting the high roll and row 4. Kal & Chris occupy row 5. Rando has the inside on row 6 with a bid of 2.5 and John takes the final spot with a zero bid.

Turn 1 Deadline: Friday, May 15th @ 12 noon EDT (4 p.m. GMT)

As you can see below, I've sorted the chart by current place - I'll try to keep that up. Sorry, no little boxes (ala Doug & Kal) for me yet.

Turn 1 and the dice have already bitten. Five drivers roll on the SS table w/ one mis-shift.

Turn 1 Summary
Cody gets the initiative on Steve at 120 and a roll on the SS table with 1sp (modified 5). The #38 takes the center lane. Steve plots 100, ending on the inside. Fabio tests his SS at 80 with his 3 sp chit (modified 3) and is sitting on the center lane. Tim pushes his start speed to 80 with his 3 chit but mis-shifts and has to re-plot at 40 (modified 9). Todd also pushes with 1 sp (modified 8) and takes the inside. Mike pulls alongside Tim at 60. Will grabs Tim's bumper at 60 while Brad does the same and sits behind Mike. Kal & Chris both plot 60 to take positions behind Will & Brad respectively. John has the initiative over Rando at 60 and tucks in behind the #3. Rando pushes his meager SS to 40 with 2 sp (modified 3) and brings up the rear.

Turn 2 Deadline: Monday, May 18th @ 12 noon EDT (4 p.m. GMT)

The approach to this corner is going to be a fun one. I'm coming in hot; you high-bidding jerks keep out of the way! :shift:

Turn 2 went off without a hitch.

Well, there was hitch after all. Tim does not get a slip (lead car only going 100) which moves him back one, allowing Brad to use his slip and go where Tim was. They basically flipped. Otherwise, no effect (thank god).

Turn 2 Summary
Cody drops a wear in the Istanbul 80's for a two space lead. Steve uses the 80's for free. Todd takes the Istanbul 60 for 2 wear at 100 and can accelerate out next turn. Fabio burns a wear in the Istanbul 80's and is also ready for the exit. Mike gets the initiative at 120 and drops a wear in the 100's. Tim grabs the middle lane at 100 after a roll on the acceleration table with an SP (modified 7). Will tucks inside of Tim at 120. Brad passes Tim on the outside with the slip on Mike and cuts back into the 80's for 2 wear. Kal makes it three-wide going into Istanbul at 120 plus the slip on Will. With no place to use the bonus, Chris grabs Will's bumper. John uses his big 'ol engine to accelerate to 140 and tucks in behind Tim. Rando pushes his acceleration with 1 SP (modified 8) to keep up with the pack.

I'm "King of the Wear" again.
Well, tied at the moment. Fabio, trust me -- I will catch you. :)

Turn 3 is in. No time for the summary right now but I'll add it later today.

Soft deadline: If I have all the plots by tomorrow at 4 p.m., I will adjudicate early. If not, it will have to wait until next Tuesday. I am going away for a 4-day weekend and will not be able to adjudicate again until then.

Hard deadline: Tuesday, May 26th @ 12 noon EDT (4 p.m. GMT)

Nothing eventful... I forgot to put John's slip on the event chart but he did get it. (edit: corrected)

Whew... a moment to breathe.

Turn 3 Summary
Cody pulls up to Ankara at 100 on the line. Steve moves forward at a cautious 100. Fabio races out of Istanbul at 140, passes the #24, and grabs the Ankara line. Todd takes it easy out of Istanbul at 100 and tucks in behind Steve. Brad continues at 120 through Istanbul to pull alongside the #84. Mike also continues at 120 to finish Istanbul and grabs Todd's tail. Tim gets the initiative at 120 and takes the outside 100's for a wear. He pulls in behind the #25. Kal moves next at 100, taking the 80's for a wear and stays to the outside of the #21 car. Will takes the Istanbul 80's for free at 80 and runs up on Tim's bumper. John uses the Istanbul 100's for free at 100 and gets the bonus from Tim to tuck in behind the Intimidator. Chris hits Istanbul at 80, takes the 80's for free and slots in behind the #6. At 100, Rando conserves his wear in the Istanbul 100's and can accelerate out next turn.

I like the commentary. And I like that you processed the move without commentary rather than delay the move. Then that you later added commentary when you had a bit of time. Nicely done all around, Mike. Thanks again.
