Mike, indeed I finished 5th as you predicted with your July-8 comment. Then I got kind of crazy with the predictions ... and the bets.

Kudos to Chris Long for moving up also from last. Looking at your race, Chris, I'm impressed how you got through Konya & Antalya at least twice only using one wear. Super efficient.

Well, the race is over. Chris will beat Cody, Cody will beat Will, Will beats Tim C, Tim C Beats Brad, Brad beats Kal, Kal beats Todd, and Todd beats... Well, never mind.

These are locked in stone unless there is a NMR, and I have put my orders in already.

I'll look at that, Brad. If it's a foregone conclusion, I can auto-move the rest of the race. We do want speeds so that Jim can do his stats magic. In fact, you and the others can send me your remaining turns so I don't have to do it.

I would prefer to have the moves, but if things are set in stone I can just play it out similar to a NMR. I would just assume a car to move as fast as safely possible and the shorter of routes if a choice exists. Good race guys. It was fun to watch.

Thanks Jim - I'll get you speeds and publish the last few turns one way or another. It would most likely turn out exactly as we expect but I suppose there's always the chance for a mis-plot.

FYI - We treat NMR's much more harshly than that. They can be quite punitive. One of the guiding principles in creating this league was to encourage dedication. NMR penalties and removals (we had one this race) are the stick. The carrot is my gratitude .

I have no problem playing it out. Just here to facilitate my humiliation...

I've witnessed the NMR plots first hand. I haven't had any but I've seen a few. (For those that may not know, I'm racing in C2. And next year you just might have to put up with me here!) But I can afford to be a bit kinder since the NMR move is supposed to encourage the driver to "not do that <expletive> again."

I normally would publish the chart now since Todd just completed section 2, but at this point I think I'll just hold off until the finish. But here's a little tidbit...according to the numbers, Rando actually nipped John at the line by 0.121 seconds. Remember, the program assumes linear acceleration. So by the time John had gone from 80mph to the s/f line heading up to 180mph, Rando starting the turn at 120mph was still slightly ahead at the line. That's the smallest margin yet, Mike beat Tim B by 0.600 seconds for the second smallest margin. I'll publish all of the margins with the final chart.

I received T41 & T42 from Tim, Brad, & Kal. I plotted T42 for Todd, using his last wear to get through K/A. He should finish in T43 at 140.

Turn 41 Summary
Chris comes in 6th at 160 followed by Cody in 7th at 120. At 140, Will takes 8th. Tim C. finishes Antalya at 100. Brad & Kal come out of their spins at 60 with Kal riding the bumper on the #50 car. Todd pulls up to Konya on the line at 120.

Turn 42 Summary
Tim C. finished 9th at 140. Brad grabs the last GP point at 120 for 10th. Kal comes in 11th at 120 and the slip. At 80, Todd takes the Konya line for free and expends his last wear in the Antalya 60's

Turn 43 Summary
Todd brings up the rear and 12th place at 140.

Keep an eye on C2, we've got a barnburner: 4-way battle for second, including 3-wide heading into Konya next turn.

Final results are in. Except for the Rando/John situation I already mentioned the results are about as expected. Rando with the fastest lap of the race, just a tick under 7mph under the record. And (at least by the clock) Fabio led 'em all.

Just wanted to add that I think the speeds show just how accurate Doug's track is. Major kudos to Doug!

Just for fun I used the race times to generate a composite, 24 car finish. Of note is the dead heat between Todd (C1) and Grant (C2).
