NFATG reporters have been located. Early reports of their demise in the nuclear fall out were (apparently) exaggerated.
Terrorist activity in South America continues to cause havoc. The cities of Santiago and Cordoba remain in black-out conditions with reports of rioting and looting taking place in the streets. Local government officials continue to seek military assistance with no answers. Further north, a Cuban guerilla unit wandered aimlessly into the Amazon Basin. The last communication with them was a report that their bomb expert had been eaten by an anaconda. All attempts to reach the unit since have failed. In nearby Bogota, Cuban troops forced out the last remnants of the Ecuador government. Another terrorist strike hit Manaus, leading to anarchy in the streets.
In the Pacific, the Australian air force has entered air space around Malaysia in an attempt to calm the recent surge of pirate activity in the area. So far, it seems to be working, but some locals report it is not unusual for pirates to go into hiding for brief periods.
Meanwhile, activists concerned about the arctic seals launched a campaign to send Kenyan military assistance to the North Pole. Unfortunately, the funding ran out, and the fleet was forced to turn around before they reached Cape Verde. Even so, protesters in Ottawa are expected to march on Parliament Hill to demand their government stop mistreating these animals. Plans for a similar march on the Kremlin have been permanently placed on hold due to undisclosed safety concerns.
