NEWS FROM AROUND THE GLOBE: It is a time of sharing as NukeCon 2013 is a rousing success, surpassing any other in recent memory. A total of five nations left with new technology to create their own nuclear missiles. Iran could have been six, but their delegation got lost on the way. The Mexican delegation not only didn't get lost, but came in force as they sent members of their team to every table. A total of four Banked Credits also got exchanged, including a back room deal between Canada and the US that caused quite a stir in the rumor mill.
Despite this success, war raged on. A nuclear strike landed in South America devastating the capital of Argentina while armies mobilized throughout the region. South Africa remains under siege as foreign units continue to close in. The good people of Nigeria may soon find themselves in a similar predicament. Elsewhere, Egypt fights to reclaim their lost capital while a host of foreign troops surround Israeli holdings.
In Europe, everyone seems to be going in different directions at once with no real rhyme or reason. A minor skirmish in the North Sea has forced the American Air Force to withdraw from the area, but other American troops have moved into French-owned Belgium. Italy paid a visit to Switzerland, but it was unclear whether they were attempting a takeover and making a deposit at the Swiss National Bank.
Russian forces swept into Almaty, Kazakhstan where domestic troops immediately surrendered. Vietnam sent forces into British-owned Bangkok under the pretense of peaceful negotiation. The locals government has shut down and the people have boarded themselves up in their homes.
