Having the auction on a holiday weekend was not ideal this year. I think I'll change the rule so such that if the auction were to fall on Easter weekend, it will be moved to the preceding week.

Next year Easter is on March 27th. Now we just have to wait for the 2016 MLB schedule.

That would work better. Perhaps just to Friday rather than Saturday?

Can you change the rule to Easter or Passover, please?

That should be ok. Let's see...

2016
Passover: 4/22-4/30
Easter: 3/27
Depending upon the MLB schedule this either puts us on March 19th or April 3rd.

2017
Passover: 4/10-4/18
Easter: 4/16
No conflicts here.

2018
Passover: 3/30-4/7
Easter: 4/1
This probably forces us to March 24th.

2019
Passover: 4/19-4/27
Easter: 4/21
That doesn't affect us.

2020
Passover: 4/8-4/16
Easter: 4/12
We should be good.

Yeah, I've no problem with taking both holidays into consideration.

Good!

Since we've had them on Saturdays, generally, may I ask why we have to have them so late? In other words, why can't we start at like 5 PM EST? or 7?

I prefer being able to work on projects during the day and then coming into work with a beer, nice dinner, and no disruptions from kids/wife/life. Is 5 Pacific too late?

I don't know when your bedtime is...

Well, Saturday night late is less than ideal. :)

Drafts were timed late so that we could draft after our little ones were in bed. Parenting while they are awake, drafting while they are asleep. That's why it started that way. It's not as critical as it used to be for me, but we do have some young parents in our league I think.

2016 draft will be set for Saturday, April 2nd @ 9 p.m. EST.

No conflicts, we're good. Except for Tweed Day.

I still think it's pretty late.

Hey, why don't we have it at 4 AM EST! That way everyone will hate the time.

Ages 1,3, and 5 aren't "small?"

(of course, that's only for a limited number of months . . . I think)
