Ok. How are you planning to keep track of what builds are unused? (A list of what countries have unused builds or do you have some other method in mind?)

I was to say the following:

Oh, the "output orders" will of course say that there are banked builds, be it ordered or not. That is, I enter the orders into Realpolitik, and then copy the order sheet as Realpolitik writes it (just as in WTSNR) It could look like the following, where Germany has two builds:

W 1901:
Input orders:
+ F Kie
+ F Mun [or whatever illegal or waiving]

Output orders:
Build Fleet Kiel
Build

In RP, the lone Build indicates unused build. Otherwise you can just look at the map for last winter and see how many fewer units where built than the difference between the unit and center counts.

However, I realized this doesn't cover all (the map looking would, but that's tedious). If you have 2 builds but only one open center, RP will list only one build opportunity for you. Nevertheless, it counts as an unused build that can be used colonially. You'll have to check the unit and center counts, and add in the orders list any banked builds that wasn't covered.

You really put a finger on something there cypeg.

Is the game to start in early May, or is the sign up to start then?

The map has almost been adapted to Photoshop, so I'm told. Chitalin has undertaken the task of re-making the map so we can have something better than realpolitik to offer participants.

The private website is nearing completion as well.

Its final exam time for me (I've been really busy with those over the past week or so. Still have an exam to go)

Yet another private site; fancy.

To achieve the perfect site, I'll also point out stuff, other than the missing I.
-The voting procedure refers to solo victory, even if it concerns all voting procedures.
-What's the issue with mobile devices? I'll depend on mine during my trips during the summer.
-Are there special email here, like you had in Dogs of War? I'd like to use my usual mail; there's no anonymity, is there?
-The victory conditions (solo, which is the only real victory, really.) where a bit more than just 37 SC. You have to have 2 SC more than number two at the same time; just like tennis. If you don't, you might have several people getting a solo victory, and you hear how silly that sounds.
-Wonderful to have a neat layout on the map! Once I have v1.0 ready, I'm gonna get an additional layout (you still need access to the old RP style), so it spreads better. However, you don't adapt a map "to" Photoshop, you adapt it using Photoshop; you think I drew this in paint? :p

P.S. If you are thinking about a system similar to what you had last time, where you make all maps moving around units in Photoshop, I'd say don't. I can "teach" Realpolitik to make the maps with fancy graphics, provided that I'm supplied the fancy map and unit layout. The only limitation is SC colouring, which must be done with the dots or stripes, or with a fully coloured province (but that easily looks ugly).

It refers to DIAS as well, does it not?

Yea, that's something to be revised.

There is going to be anonymity here but players are free to reveal their identities to whom they wish. (The GM will neither confirm nor deny the identity of players)

As for emails, there will be special emails. Its stream lines negotiation as well as gives the GM an idea of what's going on. This lets us better enforce the Redscape House Rules.

There has been considerable approval for these special emails from last game so its a feature I think is well worth keeping.

Thanks for the clarification. I'll include that on the website.

Once the first map (winter 1900) is published in Photoshop, want to make it compatible with Realpolitik? Thanks.

Also, I sent the request for the game to be posted on Redscape last night. So it should be up quite soon.

The following sectoin refers to Solo victory, where it should apply to everything that is voted forward.

4. If the players unanimously agree to the proposal, the game ends immediately with the proposed Power attaining a Solo Victory.

Sure, whatever. Anyone who read this thread will know I'll play, and I already told peg what power I plan to play (don't forget preference signup!), but who cares.

[/quote] Sure. As long as you don't touch the borders (and you'd only dare touch my historically correct borders), it takes ten minutes to put in the new graphics.

As I said in the official "sign up" thread, I'll point out the errors in colouring. In 1914:
-Pampas was Argentinian
-French Guiana was French
-British Guiana was British
-Angola was Portuguese (neutral)
-Spanish Sahara was Spanish (neutral)
-Arabia was an area of small tribes (neutral)
-Oman was a vassal of Britain
-Cambodia was French
-Mongolia was a part of China that had declared independence and was under Russian influence, with the Tuvan part of the province being some kind of protectorate. So... Russian is fine.

Other than irrelevant whining, I think you should include a rules section on the site. I don't see why you formulated your own colonial rules, rather than pointing out where my rules where ambiguous, if anywhere, but you'll need them on the site too. Rule 1 and rule 4 is around other-place, but rule 3, which state where the home centers are, must be clear. I had the issue of player being confused on their home centers twice in WTSNR, even though my clear and ugly map I issued to show them.

Great idea. I'll set that up right away.

3. Colonial builds can be ordered by any power in any empty supply center
that is not a home center of an existing power. For a colonial build to
succeed the building power must have building capacity for that build,
as well as having waived (refrained for building when able) one building
capacity the previous winter for each colonial build. A colonial build is
ordered with the syntax of a usual build.

Those are your colonial build rules right?
I forgot about the "info" section on the RP file.

The rules are also in the first post of the thread.

Where I said rule 3 in my last post, I should have said rule 2, which state which provinces are home centers. You want to have rule 3, the colonial build, in there too of course, but you figured that out already :p The step-by-step addition is great.

You started arguing with me in the sign up thread; I don't see the deal. Random wasn't true as you do take preferences, and I didn't meddle with the city back-up plan. You also point me out as a player, which doesn't stand for me at all there. Anyhow, it looks really bad in the sign up thread, so I suggest we get it all deleted. Still, urge people to use preferences; I think it was a small request from my side, which I stated from the beginning.

EDIT: Turned out you can only delete the last post, so until such time that I can, I emptied the post of content.
