A city with almost every household having one family member working in the Gulf, Kochi or Cochin’s resident population is waking up to new business avenues. The growing business needs are seen translated into a growing demand for commercial and residential property. The Cochin Port Trust has entered into a joint venture with Dubai Port International and is handling the Container Trans-shipment Terminal (ICTT) at Vallarpadam. The Cochin port houses an international bunkering terminal, a ship repair yard, a CNG terminal and an exclusive berth for international cruise ships. Interestingly, Kochi also has an international airport built under public-private partnership.

When it comes to Apartment in Tripunithura one size does not fit all. Small apartments are particularly handy for some than others. Small type apartments may not be a suitable option for large family. With both couples working, in several households, to maintain a large apartment or an independent house is a tough, time-consuming affair. This is where studio or one-bedroom apartments seem ideal. Studio apartments has a common room serving as living, dining, kitchen and bedroom with a toilet and in certain cases, a balcony, suits the requirements for those who are looking for compact living space. A tight budget does not necessarily mean a studio apartment since the price tag is on the higher side and it is meant for the upper-class. The rates of these apartments increase by Rs.20 per sq.ft each floor upwards. Creating a basement parking area is costly. We cover up these costs by taking an extra amount for each floor. Moreover, people prefer the upper floors which mean they are more in demand and hence, the higher cost for upper floors. The customer ratio of NRI, domestic customers for studio apartments stand in the range of 60:40. Some NRI customers who bought two or three-bedroom apartments in the same project have also booked studio apartments.

For those of you with budget concerns, I happen to be leasing a studio apartment just adjacent to the Apartment in Tripunithura. At 500 Rupees/month, you don't want to let this opportunity roll away...
